We sure have been blessed to have rain every few days the last week. Working in the garden has been easier with moist soil, and the peas should start coming up full force now!
Monday was a holiday for school kids, so it was a perfect time to get the "big boys" involved. With the donation of our utility shed, we needed to have a place leveled out for it. Enter the high school boys (and a few younger and older!)
By 10:00 a.m. we had a great crew consisting of Trevor Bringhurst, Tyler Nielson, Jared Radmall, Paul Hafen, Thomas Hafen, and Jesse Wilson helping to move dirt and level out a 10 x 10 area in the back corner of the lot. They made great progress in spite of the talking, discussing, comparing, etc., that seemed to take place whenever their shovels or rakes lacked movement. Or maybe it was vice versa. Nevertheless, the work got done and we had fun, too!
Thanks to Karl Watters, Kalvin Watters, Brenden Lunt, Jesse Wilson, Rod Hunt, Craig Reed, and Dennis Thayn for many hours of putting the shed together!
